Hello everyone, my name is Aishane Hill, but I prefer to be called Shae. I am fairly new to the Las Vegas area but not to taking college courses. The CSN campus I visited was very easy to navigate. Once inside my IS101 class, Mr. Wu made sure he greeted every student individually and took time to breakdown the syllabus, which was very helpful. This is my first time taking IS101 and, while I feel like I'm pretty "savvy" in certain software or computer systems, I am interested in gaining new skills or unlocking resources in tools I currently use every day.
Thank you for noticing my effort to individually greet each student on the first day of class and breaking down the syllabus, Shae :-)
ReplyDeleteVery glad to hear you are interested in gaining new [digital literacy] skills and unlocking resources in tools you already use. IS101 Introduction to Information Systems will definitely help you meet those goals!
Welcome to College of Southern Nevada and IS101-3004, Fall 2024 ^_^
Hi Shae it's very nice to meet you. I have been back and forth between here and California. I'm Vegas born tho which I find to be pretty cool. I have been coming here to CSN (College of Southern Nevada) since 2017. But i have only been taking one or two classes at a time.
ReplyDeleteI was also pretty savvy with computers before my accident, so i thought. Because I realize I was just into doing very stupid and wast-of-time things. But I am very dedicated to learning how to properly navigate my ways through computers.
Hi Shae,

Hi Shae! I am also new here in Las Vegas. I just moved here last year, but unlike you, it is my first time taking college courses. On my first day at CSN (College of Southern Nevada) I was amazed on how organized CSN is when it comes to their classes and resources, they are easy to find.

Hello Shae!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Vegas I hope you've been enjoying it so far! I'm also hoping to gain new skills in this class as I'm not very used to navigating computers in a professional setting outside of emails. I'm sure you'll do great in this course!
Hey Shae, being new to the Las Vegas area and starting at CSN must be exciting, and I’m glad the campus was easy to navigate. I agree, Professor Wu’s personal approach and thorough breakdown of the syllabus was really helpful. Even if you’re already "savvy" with certain systems, it’s great that you’re eager to learn new skills. Best of luck this semester!
ReplyDeleteHello Shae, I share your passion in learning new skills and improving your knowledge with computer systems. I don't have the same "savvy" as you would say with computers, but definitely willing to learn all that I can.
